Fiberglass to metal rear hatch swap
Anyone got any info? I wanna a metal hatch, I gotta a fiber one. anyone done the swap? Pics????

I have never dune it and haven't seen it dune. So I really like the idea. I have a 99 dd and 95 tr. From working on them I say besides wiring its a bolt on you will need 97+ lights aswell. I would gut the pre 97 wire harness and use it in the new one. Otherwise it may not have the same plugs. You could switch just the plugs but would need to remember that when buying lights. The older lights should fit in the newer housing. Good luck and post picks!

i kinda want to do a bit different and take a new body style and put a 1st gen front on it just to be different and it would confuse the hell outta people

any thing can be done if u have some fab skillz, but it won't be easy by any means! the hinges don't line up, the tail light issue, & of course the fact that the body lines don't match up! the true question is, is the work worth the reward???
