few questions for the wise

i recently bought a 90 xj with 98000 miles on it. at idle i run 210-215 temp. also at first start up it will idle at about 20-25 psi of oil pressure, but after about 15-20min of running it will idle i would say between 5-10 psi. at cruise it runs about 15-20 and wot it runs 35-40 psi. pretty sure i need to go ahead and drop the pan for a pump, but i think that it is weird that until the truck starts running warm it has normal oil pressure. also i have a vacuum seliniod on my front end near the passenger tire, is this a cad unit, and can i switch the front end with a non cad unit.

today i bought a set of 31x10.50x15 tsl's, two dana 30's, two dana 35's, 4.5 inch lift leafs, a set of rustys coils that are 18"s long. he said that he believed them to be 6" lift, but said it sat level. do i need to get control arms, tcase drop(or sye) or a track bar at this height? it will be dailyed. thanks.

chang oil to 10w-40 and see what happens

not to sure on the lift but 210 isnt a bad temp for a jeep. Do you have the 4.0? I would say your oil press. is off mine runs around 30ish at idle and around 40ish driving. What oils are you running? As far as a t case drop or sye you just have to install it and see what happens. I have 3.5 inches and I had to shim the rear and drop the t case. hope this helps any.

if your at all mechanical you can build one for around $70 from your local parts store. there are quite a few write ups out there on how to do it. Unless you want to drop the coin

I run that posi lock,if you get it get the upgraded shift fork with it,the stock one is aluminum and is prone to cracking from the extra force of useing the cable to ingadge the axle.

s

well the bottle thats used in yours tends to crack a lot. so putting in a newer style radiator and making the cooling system an open system will mean you wont have to use the dreaded bottle anymore. or if you dont want to swap the radiator you can do what i did: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/ho...-delete-38204/

reniux radiatos are a closed, and 95 is open so it is actually an upgrade. only thing different i thin is there is a sensor in your that is not in the 95 but i bileve there is some form of bung there for it. Im a 92-95 guy dont do much with any other years

if you want to save $200 do this //www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/free-front-axle-cad-bypass-91-writeup-38589/ for the vacuum disconnect.i did it to my 91 xj. but i used a old 12mm socket ground down to fit in the open space next to the fork.
