my oil temp gauge is not working any questions?? and my air vent above my ash tray doesnt sit still it just drops to the bottom and one ever have these probs??

Non of my vents stay still anymore and as far as your oil pressure guage gos check the leads off of the sending unit. make sure they are still conected.

hm can i fix the vent?? it bugs me. and where is the sending unit im not familiar with that.

On the side of the vent there is a small piece of foam that keeps it from moving up and down freely. That foam will wear out with age and fall off leaving the vent loose.

To access the vent for removal, first remove the gauge cluster trim. 4 screws, 1 above the headlight switch, 1 above the cig lighter, and 2 above the guages.



The remove the cig lighter (3 screws) and rear wiper switch (1 screw).



The vent is held in by a plastic tab that needs to be pushed in from the drivers side of the vent with a small screwdriver.



The foam is just a small triangle piece on both sides. Find something similar and glue it in the same spot, then reassemble the dash.

just stick something in the vent,the sending unit is on the left side looking from the front under your distributer.You have the gadge so its big and looks like a soda can.

i got her apart right now fixing the vent then ill try messing with the oil thing after still not to sure on where it is.

im trying to pop the vent out i push the tab put how do i get it out??

The sending unit should be around you oil filter housing under your dist.

update. vent is fixed good. oil gauge will have to wait.. after i had everything apart dash... etc. i decided to clean the whole jeep haha. so well got that out of the way now im going to go pick up a pizza and enjoy haha.
