Factory keyless entry removal

Factory keyless entry removal
Any one know how to remove the factory keyless entry? My buddy is turning his rig into a trail rig and said I can have his keyless entry but idk where any of the parts for it are located in the jeep, his is a 2000 sport and its just a keyless entry not a remote start.

The keyless entry is in the overhead module located in the head liner. They used the same one from 97-01 so you should be able to just swap them out and it will work, but I've never tried it. It's not like a after market keyless, it works on CCD BUS data meaning it talks to your BCM.
