Factory heavy duty suspension info wanted

Hi guys

There was an optional heavy duty suspension available from the factory for at least some Cherokee XJ models. Now when I search the parts catalogues for front and rear springs I find the following:

Front coil spring light duty
Front coil spring heavy duty

Rear leaf spring light duty
Rear leaf spring medium duty 405 load
Rear leaf spring medium duty 605 load
Rear leaf spring heavy duty 755 load

What I would like to know:

- Were any of the medium duty leaves ever used from the factory for the heavy duty option?
- According to the info I have the ride height should be about 2 3/8" higher than normal with the HD suspension option. Is this correct?
- Does someone have pics of a Cherokee with the factory HD suspension?

Regards
Martin

It's only an inch higher than stock in the real world.

They were often found on the Up Country packages as well.

If you want a small lift try a 3" like from Rustys full leaf/coil/shock/hardware pkg. $438 better quality leafs and coils than you were looking at his are made in NA the others all off shore.

But you could go the other way for about the same cost as you will have shocks and new hardware anyway when replacing the leafs.

I believe you are referring to the UpCountry package?

Ride height is only about one inch more than other models...but you also got front and rear tow hooks, skid plates,a limited slip rear, and (I believe) higher performance gas monotube shocks (unmarked Bilsteins??).

She's not level, but here's a photo of my UpCountry:

The heavy duty springs also came on the tow package vehicles.
