Factory fog light wires for a 92
Does anyone know what color/location of the factory fog lights? My manual says it should be a red/wht wire but all i can find near the front bumper are grn/blk and blk.
It has the fog light switch on the dash but cannot figure out which wires to trace back.

the fog lights under the headlights next to the turn signal? I have a 92' im getting ready to leave for class but if you dont get and ansewer I can pull mine out and look, just send me a message
well the factory lights themselves are gone but im going to be replacing them. I have the fog lights but cannot find the wires for the stock switch/lights.
are there any problems with the switch being weak i might need to address as well?

So drivers side you should see the plug, its meant for a bulb to srew into then the whole thing into the fog light. if you want to run bajas as your fog or turn signal than you would have to take the plug apart to find the hot lead and ground, I wouldnt think it would be too complicated
picture with the horn is drivers side you can see the plug and the back of fog ( taken from underneith)
Pic with battery on left is taken from above and the pug and wires will run under the battery and battery pan so take them out and you should see it
did you buy your jeep like that?

what colors are the wires for that? I dont have any plugs on the ends of the wires i found. But they run the exact way shown in your pics.
Im going to be running Hella 500's and wanted to use the factory switch to cut them off when the brights go on.
if there is another way to wire up the hellas with their wiring and have it do that same thing that would be fine too. I just want to run them as fogs and not have to worry about having a toggle switch to mess with all the time.
Yea the jeep was like that when i bought it. The wires were cut and tucked up behind the front bumper.

alright, i have decided to just run the hellas like their instructions for right now and tie them into the high beam indicator to switch them off when high beams come on.
so my question now is...whats the best way to hook them to the high beams?? i tried getting to the back of the dimmer switch with no luck.

Not specific to the XJ Tim but when I've done this on other vehicles the best source for high beam power is the wiring close to the headlight itself. Not sure on wire colours but a multimeter & probe will make short work of figuring out which one it is.
