Exclamation Exploding needle bearings

Well. Exploding u joint caps is more like it. Had to replace my ujoint in my front right cause of just wear and tear. No biggy right?? Wrong. Got the new u joint. Cleaned up the forks and the cap holes all the good stuff. Took it to a shop to hav them pressed in. Well. I guess the guy didn't line the bearing caps up straight or something. But the fork and bearing cap exploded sending needle bearings and shrapnel every where. So. Just a reminder to everyone. Do be carefull replacing pressed bearings. That is all

One of the needle bearings undoubtedly got misaligned by the "mechanics" error. It was entirely his fault. IMO

Either that or when you broke the u-joint it bent an ear on one of the shafts.
