Exhaust rub after lift - RC 4.5"

I installed the RC x-series 4.5 kit on my xj recently and now have a nice exhaust rub and rattle in the rear against the leaf. Has anyone else encountered this problem with some advice? I have a rag around it now to help damp the noise.

I'm thinking that its just a matter of relocating that bracket over a little. Thanks for any help

I honestly say get it. The only trouble i had was putting in the U bolts in the rear. I used a spring compressor. If you get it and run into trouble feel free to ask any questions. I most likely had the same troubles you'll (hopefully not) run into. Don't let it discourage you though. It was a fun job.

I have the same proublem. I just used some wire to pull it away from the exhaust untill I get around to welding a new bracket. What size tires are those?

I'll probably wind up doing the same thing. Thanks for the response!!

They are 33/12.50/r15. I love them because they were the cheapest ones on ebay in that size ($150 each!!). also very quiet on the highway. They're mounted on 15x10 3.75"BS black steel wheels also from rough country.

goodd lookin jeep.. you guy are about to convince me to take my fender flares off.. my fenders are cut with the flares put back on.. and im not seein that very much.. i think it looks better with the flares but obviously am not gettin as much travel clearance i cant crawl through the ditch in the front yard and one of my rears will pop off everytime where the tires hit its. i just cant convince my self to take em off .. mainly cause its a daily driver for looks right now.. nice jeep though man

i just cut my tailpipe off and put a downpipe before the rear axle. that will solve that problem.

I increased to 33's as well and had pipe rubbing, had to move the pipe around a bit and change the rear hanger out. I later cut the end of the tailpipe but that is because it was too long and I crushed it into a half moon.

See how much you can move things around and then cahnge out the rear hanger is my suggestion. Depending on the outcome of that you may be done or need to go a bit more drastic. Good luck

Thanks! Yeah i was figuring thats what i needed to do. I was just trying to see if theres an quick fix. This won't potentially damage my leafs will it?

They actually don't rub that bad at all. I had to take off the front pieces to the bumper as you can see in the pictures, but the back part of the wheel well only needed minor trimming.
