what is your idea of beefy... some people like that rasping sound, other like the hollow throaty sound and then there is the low grumble...

rasping sound you'll never really get, the throaty sound is possible.
mine, I have a mix of the low grumble(at idle) and throaty(kinda diesel) sound when I take off.

any 6 is hard to get a real good sound out of, but I picked up a cheapo cherry bomb turbo at autozone. I am stepping in fast cause if you wheel and you go over some rocks there is a good chance that you might crush or dent your muffler and a dent can change the sound completely if it breaks a chamber wall inside or what not.

ok now I'm all out of pennies for the day

Not too sure what it sounds like but its beefy if you're wheeling.

Yeah I am thinking about throwing a Cherry bomb on my jeep too. I watched some vids on youtube and i like the sound better then the flowmaster, but that is just me. Im not sure if i should go with the Cherry bomb Turbo muffler or the Cherry Bomb Universal Muffler though.

The 44 is kinda overkill, just get a regular 40. I think they sound great and are probably 2/3's the price. There beefy as hell and if I do exhaust on mine before I get rid of it will be another flowmaster, no question!

I had two 40s on an old Grand Wag, they held up to every thing I threw at them, even salt water submersion. Sounded great to. she had a 360, cam, Headman headers, 4barrel and 3inch duel pipe exiting through the flowmaster 40s.

Oh I sure don't have one of those, but it would be nice. haha Mine has a beat chrysler muffler on it. I think I'm just gonna get the cherry bomb turbo, should have bought it last week 35% off.
