Default Evaporator Core, No AC, No Heat, 2000 Cherokee Sport

New here. So please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area.

Suggested I need a new evap core. Told the dash has to come off. Also don't have heat. Saw some threads asking for instructions. If anyone can provide them to me along with the instructions on not having to pull the entire dash it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Who told you that you needed a new evap core and how did they diagnose it?
