wrecking yard might be your best bet for replacement
https://row52.com/
the above link, Row52 has listings of what is available at pick n pull, searchable too There might be more than one year model that is compatible with your harness.

Just in case you didn't know, the 96 is an odd cross-over year and I don't think all 96's are the same so if you go the wreckers route, take pictures of what you can to try and make sure you get the correct harness. Check wire colours that go to different sensors, wire amounts (oil pressure switch for example has 3 wires in the later years and 1 in the earlier), connector shapes and other bits like that.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Yeah, 96 was a bit of a bastard year. I've never found a 96 manual, and end up consulting both the 95 and 97 manuals to see which one matches the best..
Thank you! Yes, 96 is a crossover year. I am the original owner. I parked it for a long time and am starting to get it going again. Have not been able to find a 96 FSM unless I want to pa 160.00! The dealer gave me a part number for my wiring harness based on my VIN. But I have not located one on line. Time to hit the wrecking yards.
