Engine Swap Question
Hi all, I just found a really good deal on a 4.0 out of a 97 TJ and I was wondering if all the wiring harness and computers would be compatible with my 98 XJ.
Also, to those that have swapped the engine in their XJ's; how difficult is it? I've done an engine swap, but that was in a honda and those are pretty simple. Finally, are there any things I should watch out for when buying an engine for a swap? Thanks again for all your help. All 97-98 4.0 liters are pretty much the same.

You should be fine as most parts are the same from 97-99..

One more thing though; I found a 4.0 HO as well, how different from the normal 4.0? Would I be able to hook everything up with the normal 4.0 wiring harness or would I need the wiring harness from the HO? |
