well i am looking for a junk yard engine, i found one in Rhode Island I just dont know if it will bolt up to my 4x4 transmission etc. its out of a 2000 jeep as well. not too familure with the engines etc. I was just looking for a junk yard engine cheap, nothing rebuilt or anything the car isnt worth that much in my opinion, if i have the money id put a stroker engine in it! Looking for junk yard engines in florida, where the engines are cheap! Let me know

 

do you have any more info? it would be a lot easier to find an earlier engine for my swap, i am having a mechanic guy i know do it and would like to provide him with as much information as possible and if i dont have to find an engine that matches mine would probably be a lot easier!

 

What would I need to do to swap a 99 4.0 in place of a 2000 4.7 in a GC? I have a complete 98 GC totaled and a 2000 GC with a burned up cams and main bearings in the engine. To expensive to rebuild.
