Engine Shakes when not feeding it gas
89 XJ Limited 4.0L it starts fine, and after 1500 rpm’s it accelerates fine, but when letting off the gas, the engine shaking horribly. As soon as I give it gas it smoothes out and is fine. It runs fine as long as I am feeding it gas, but let of the gas and it shakes. Today is died twice at idle when coming to a stop. I am clueless to the cause.

Check your fuel pressure as well. Pressure regulator may be closing until you rev it to get more vacuum, which opens it again. Vicious cycle.
