Default Engine running hot after replacing water pump

Recently I began leaking radiator fluid in my 87' cherokee and the temp gauge was getting pretty high up. It didnt overheat completely but I could tell it wasn't doing the engine any good. My radiator did crack once and the gauge went up into the red. Since then I have replaced the thermometor, water pump, and the radiotor itself. Now the the temp gauge still gets higher after about 20 minutes of driving and the engine warms up. Also when I go to slow down and it downshifts, it seems like it has really low rpm's and its almost like its about to cut out. Not sure what the problem is or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated!

The oil was low but it seemed to naturally burn through it. Also I haven't burped the air, not sure how to do that either.

So I burped the engine and its still heating up pretty quickly. As soon as the temp gauge gets slightly over 100 the engine feel bogged down when i slow down. It seems like its just about to die out and again this only happens when the engine heats up and i go to slow down, otherwise it drives fine
