Engine Problem!!
got a 98' limited. ive been noticing that when my motor gets to operating temperature it spikes to 0rpm then jolts back up. it does it when im either at idle or at a stop. it happens so quick i dont know what the heck it is. please help. is this normal?

My 97 did that,it was just the gauge,if you do not feel it miss through the body of the car then it is most likely the gauge the all elctronic gauges are not the best when hot,especially when they get some age on them.
