Engine pings on acceleration

1995 jeep Cherokee. I have tried higher octane fuel, still pings. Any ideas?

How much Ethanol is in the fuel in your area? Try running some Lucas Fuel treatment 3-4 oz per tank works wonders. When was last tune-up? Is fuel/Air intake system Clean?

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter

What ratio anti-freeze/water are you running? Too much anti-freeze to water will cause the engine to run hotter and cause a pinging issue. Sounds crazy, but it's true. Water will absorb heat better and faster than anti-freeze, a 50/50 mix os recomended, but I run a 70% water 30% anti-freeze mix along with water wetter in my system and it works great.
