Default Engine oil reuse or replace?

So i have to do a whole mess of work to do to the front of my 4.0l and I gotta drop the oil pan. I'm only about 300-400 miles into a fresh oil change. Would it be okay to reuse my oil seeing as it's fresh as it is or should I just replace it? Any help would be great, thanks.

I'd be a little hesitant about it but I suppose if you put it in a nice clean container and filter it as you pour it back in with a coffee filter or heavy paper towel or something along those lines you should be ok

Oil is cheap, it probably isn't worth the effort to try and reuse it. You'll need a clean (new) drain-pan and container for it and even then you may get dirt in it from the pan, drain-plug, or stuff that drops off the chassis (assuming your Jeep has dirt/grit/grease on the underside like most do).

This. Oil is cheap. Replace it. Would you put hardly used underwear on?

Don't be a cheapo. Leave the oil in the filter and buy 5 more quarts of the same kind. What is that, $15-18?

Save your used oil for the lawnmower.

We're all bound to die at some point too, but I'm not picking out a coffin just yet. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

If you can capture it in a very clean pan......why waste it? I'd use it. It's oil for god's sake. You aren't drinking it, lol

I always clean my pan ahead of time. This way if I find crud or anything unexpected I know it came out of my engine. I use n old ss buffet pot I picked. Works great!
