Engine getting hot.

I just replaced my water pump and fan clutch in my 94 XJ and it still creeps into red during idle. Any ideas?

1 - make sure your electric fan turns on around 220, give or take a few degrees
2 - take an IR temp gun to the thermostat housing to verify the actual gauge temp
