Engine Code P0753
Hey guys
Got engine code P0753 and diagnosed it as faulty solenoids. Had them replaced and the repair shop did a full service on the transmission. They also told me that they found a lot of metal shavings in the transmission pan. He said that metal shavings are normal but not as much as he found.
The transmission pan is free of metal shavings for now but should I be worried? What else can I do to prevent this? And he also mentioned that the transmission may need a rebuild which is very expensive.

A slight glitter effect to the fluid can be considered normal (very fine particles of friction material usually, and should not feel excessively gritty), but shavings? There are some places that word (shavings) should never be used. Transmissions and engines.
It wasnt AAMCO, was it?
