Default Electrical... (update)

Ok.. so I have this problem, where my auto door locks dont work and neither do the electric seats... I feel kinda dumb but I found there was another bigger problem.. the dome light stays on, so there is a short in the door switches that turn that off.. that caused the previous owner to unplug the alarm incuding the power door locks that was attached!

So I baught a new alarm system, and am tracing the power issue to the doors.. anyone have a good way to check electrical w/o a meter... Im going to work on it in the morning so i'll update as a find more out!

Meters are cheap. Under $5 at Harbor Freight and under $10 at Radio Shack.
You can use a test light if you leave the power on. Try rotating the **** on the headlight switch.

ok so the problem was there was no power from the cable to activate the door lock/unlock. i restored power and the power seats/door locks now work but they all work very... slowly... lol i'll try some white lithium but anyone know if adding a relay would give it more power?
