electrical problem

Ok guys my 98 jeep Cherokee sat for a couple months because the fuse box went bad. It ran when I parked it. Had to change the fuse box and the main connector to the fuse box. Now im not getting any spark of fuel pressure like the crank sensor is bad. Relaced that and still get nothing.

By 'fuse box' I take it you mean the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine bay.

That would be the home of the Automatic Shut Down (ASD) relay, which is controlled by the PCM, from signals from the CPS, and controls the ignition and fuel injection sytems.

Remove the ASD relay and inspect the pin cavities in the PDC for being pushed down, and for corrosion.

Also, check fuses marked ASD and Fuel Injectors/Coil for being blown.

PDC layout below is of a '99 PDC but I think the '98 is the same.

did you use a meter to test the crank sensor? Any codes?

I replaced the fuse box under the dash on the passenger side. . No I did not use a meter to check crank sensor. I did check for power going into the sensor and had the 5 volts but did not check output

Okay, you changed the Junction Block.

Here's some pics of the JB.

Check fuse #11. It controls the ASD, Fuel Pump relays and powers the PCM and TCM when the ignition switch is placed to RUN.

This is a guide to the JB fuses that someone made. It's nice no reference to which fuse is which. Refer to the JB layout above.

I would take a look at the fuse CCKen suggested. After that, get a good multi-meter (not a cheapy) and start checking.

Checked all the fuses. I did replace a couple but none for asd relay. I did find that I have only have one power to asd when key is on. It was late last night when I checked it so ill dig more tonight. Where do the powers come from for that relay

Ok so I have no key poeet to asd relay. I jumped the relay and got it to start.
