Default Electrical mess

Its pretty simple problem. I turn my ac/heat on and my radio shuts off and i don't get any heat or air. nothing. if i turn my wipers on nothing happens except for my radio going off. just hard wired my blower motor and it worked. checked fuses. starts and runs fine other than that.
96 cherokee
sony radio
no aftermarket stuff other than radio

How long have you owned this XJ? Sounds very much like a few I have bought over the years that came from floods or had been under water can you see any evidence of that, or do you know what to look for?

Electrical problems were the major issues with them along with engine/trans that is why I bid them for body parts only for any resale the rest scrap metal.

Hope yours isn't one of them.
