electrical help please!

I lost power to all of my dash board and sterring column units. ( no wipers, no radio, no heat, no clock, no turn signals). The only thing that still works are the guage lights and head lights. I checked the fuses and they arent popped. Dont know where else to look. Thanks in Advance.

all of a sudden? was the rig parked overnight, an hour, 2 days? does it crank over & run? interior lights work? have u recently done any electrical work? how old is the battery? have u checked the battery voltage? did u check for a loose wire/corroded terminals?

need more info to be able to help u troubleshoot...

Possible ground that is common to all those could be bad.

I drove the jeep monday and parked it till this morning jumped in and nothing works, starts and runs fine, drives perfect, interior lights works except for one but that never worked. Battery is older but still starts the jeep fine.

i cannot think of what the harness connector is called but it sits on top of your steering column just underneath your dashboard..... give those a wiggle around.... btw what year XJ are we talking about?

Please add details to profile. It makes it easier to help you...

This sounds like a blown fuse or an open-circuited ground connection. Just for starters, have you checked both fuse boxes?

What year & model? Is there any history of prior electrical and/or under-dash work? Does the horn work? Did you run the cluster diagnostic - are all guages/indicators functioning correctly?

Since your dealing with OEM parts I moved this to OEM Tech.

That's funny. I thought we were in OEM Tech.
