Default Electric Supercharger for 28 bucks! Please comment what you think! Im considering buy

Look at this thing. In my quest for options to get colder or MORE air into the intake i have 63mm throttle body, injectors done now I need more air.. I was looking at this electric supercharge for 28 bucks.. LOL..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-...item230b55b40d

OR the 3000 dollar kit from: http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techart...kit/index.html

Of course mim not stupid.. BUT Im not looking or expecting it to give the results of the 3000 kit.. However, sounds like a good idea! His ebay feedbacks show success and happy people using it! I wonder what you guys think.. Im considering buying the thing.. Im worried it will screw up the engine however..

Your thoughts?

Dont waste your time. My son in law ordered one and it has a small fan in it that does not do anything. Rule of thumb "if its cheap, it wont work"...Tj

Don't bother. The other rule of thumb, "if it seems to good to be true, it probably is". If it gave 25% increase in HP and saved 3mpg for only $28, EVERYONE would have one. They're a waste of money.

Not really. The major difference between the fan and the supercharger is the supercharger has rediculous amounts of power physically forcing air into the intake. That little fan is just moving air, not forcing it anywhere. If anything, I am guessing the increased air current would just slow up against the TB and lose air charge.

People get confused when it comes to air flow and engines. Automobile engines create vacuum that pulls in the air that they need. The vacuum created by your engine will pull in much more air than a tiny fan could ever generate x 100. Superchargers and turbos spin at ridiculously high RPMs and use a series of high speed fan blades (think jet engines) to compress and draw in more air than the engine's vacuum can deliver. Would you compare a fan in your living room to a jet engine? No, and the same principle applies.

Don't be a sucker.

Here... I found one for $20 and it comes will a cool diffuser attachment...
Amazon.com: Revlon RV544 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ionic Lightweight Dryer, Silver/Black: Beauty Amazon.com: Revlon RV544 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ionic Lightweight Dryer, Silver/Black: Beauty

All kidding aside... save your money. You will be better off putting that money towards a bored throttle body, headers, exhaust... etc.

Just think of it this way anything advertised on Ebay to "boost performance 50+hp" is a scam.

A REAL supercharger is run by a belt on the engine for a reason; It needs to spin very fast and needs enough power to actually compress the air, which it draws from the engine. An electric one will never have the speed and power to compress the air and surpass the current air flow of your engine. If anything, it will be worse than it was before because now there's a crappy fan in the way of the air.
