EGR tube elimination?
After installing and torquing everything back down (intake and exhaust) after replacing my upper gaskets, I failed to notice my EGR tube has a seized nut collar. I can't install unless I thread in the seized end of the tube by spinning the entire tube but there ain't no space to do so. I ain't taking the exhaust back out unless it is an absolute necessity or if I cannot find one in the graveyard.
Any thoughts about sourcing a replacement? Flex tubing? Bendable tubing?
My buddy checked the local yard and could only find a 94' which apparently has eliminated the EGR system entirely.
I have a U pull and pay a little further away, and hope to find one tomorrow, but what about plugging the intake since the new exhaust header came with bolts already plugging the O2 eGR holes, and keeping the EGR intact for vacuum or whatever purposes...

the dumbshine state (FL). So just the tube? Or do I need to keep EGR in ? I'm looking in the yard tomorrow anyways just so I don't have to scour for a suitable plug... and I think if I come up empty handed I'll just pull an intake replacement. The for the look Cruiser

done that several times, used heavy duty penetrate, soaked the end imparts cleaner all to no avail. I usually try try try until it breaks or I throw a heavy object before posting for help.
Heat is certainly a very good choice in situations like these but it just didn't work. Even used my impact to break... nein nein nein

Well, I installed the EGR system back onto the intake, and after failing to use my 1/2 " impact, I wound up twisting the first tube. Couldn't find a 90' or earlier, only 91's and later.
So I cut the nut collar and welded a 1/8 slightly thicker piece of flat to the head and trimmed the sides for now. Atleast until I find a source for that size of nut, or just replace the intake w a HO intake. But she fired up. Slight leak from RMS but perhaps (fingers crossed) that a slight turn on the pan will stop that you (rolling my eyes).
