Default Easy question about rear shock bolts

What size are they?

I need to get some new hardware becasue I know they are going to break when I go to change my shocks this weekend.

maybe like 5 1/6 or 1/2

I was going to knock out the old nuts and bolts and put some new grade 8 in there. Thanks that helps a lot.

Yea when I did mine sure enough I had a couple break no matter how nice I was to it. But it was so long ago I'm not sure witch thread size I used. oh yea make sure you have a drill handy I remember that part! lol

To drill out the bolts after they break?

Did you use washers on the bolts?

yea I used washers and lock washers I used stainless steel bolts because I know I'll be back in there again someday.

I would say 5/16x1inch long would work.

Appreciate that.

Sounds too easy to be true so had to double check. When I was looking under it, the shock mounts were the first thing I checked out. I knew they needed to be cleaned up but was not sure if I could just knock out the old stuff, put new hardware in and be good to go.

Is there a way to reinforce that area? Or just plate it and make new mounts?
