Easy & Neat way to trim front fenders
Im not sure if anybody has done it this way or not but we decided to do mine like this and it worked out very well. It was simple and the line came out just about as perfect as you could ask for with no paint chipping. no need for sawzawls, grinders or any power tools at that. The four things that you will need are . . .
1. A box cutter w/ new blade
2. Metal snipps
3. Channel locks or Plyers
4. A roll of auto body masking tape
Here are the few simple steps to complete the job . . .
1. Using the box cutter score around the factory lip where you will be trimming to. Do this at least three times to insure that the score will be deep enough.
2. At the bottom where the lip ends mask off a line where you want it to be trimmed to. Go fairly thick with the tape so that when you score the line the blade will follow the edge of the tape.
3. Score the taped line in
4. Starting from the top in the middle, using the metal snipps cut up stopping at your score line. cut peices no wider then 1 to 1.5 inches. Then work your way outward in both directions until you have many individual peices all the way around. (similar to when you cut to fold the rear fenders in)
5. Use the channel locks to gently but firmly bend the peices back and forth, outward first, then inward. repeat this until the peice breaks cleanly off.
6. continue this untill all peices are removed and you are finished.
Note: your finished product will depend heavily on your scored line, so make sure you are carefull when you are scoring!
Below are some pics of my finished product. my camera was acting a bit funny because of the humidity but they should do the trick. I hope this is helpfull for someone!

I love those pics...weedwhacker hanging from the post brace, extension ladder on the shopping cart, Corvette in the garage, and best of all, an 80 gallon HORIZONTAL compressor with no motor, no pump. Dang, man, you should have mailed me that pressure switch...I just paid $105 for one!
Anyway, that's homey lookin'...makes me feel good that my barn looks just like this.
