E-brake
Is it just mine or does everyones do this? When I put my e-brake on i can put my jeep in nuetral and it will roll backwards like I dont have an e-brake on but if I put it in drive and try to go it doesnt move. I can push the gass pretty far down and my e-brake works fine but in reverse it doesnt lock.

me e brake does nothing but bounce around when im off roading lol
|
idk its so weird. it locks when trying to move my heep forward but backward its like i dont have one at all. the cable is tight and everything. its your cable tight? if its loose that might be why
|
well mine just doesnt work at all
|
The ebrake resists forward motion before it resists backwards motion, something to do with the spring layout and brake shoes.
Sounds like you need to adjust it a little tighter, how far up are you pulling it? Mine will stop the jeep from going forwards after a few clicks, but with the boat on the boat ramp I need to pull it all the way up to lock them the other direction. |
Its the self adjusting cable in the drums.
They break a lot. NAPA has them. Not hard to do. just do one side at a time so you have a refference. I hate drums.

Nope. Mine works fine in both directions.

I got it where i pull it up where its difficult to pull it up anymore.
yes brake drums do suck really bad. I replaced the shoes before and it was a pain in the butt |
