Dumb Qu: 87 XJ Serpentine Belt Removal
I can't find the answer because the pulley setup on my '87 XJ looks like no other in the research I've done. I don't see how to relieve tension in the belt so I can remove/replace it. Can anyone point me down the right path?

It's so hard to explain.
Loosen the two bolts on the back of the pump. At the 11 o'clock position, loosen that bolt.
Kinda behind the pulley at the 7 o'clock position is a bolt to loosen. To the right of that is a bolt going from right to left. Loosen it. That releases the tension.
DO NOT pry on the reservoir housing!!

There are two bolts on the back of the power steering pump, one in the front on top and one on the bottom (kinda hard to see). The adjusting bolt is on the side facing the air box on the bottom.

Also, the 4 bolts are circled in pen (hard to see, I'm sorry) in this picture (2 in each picture), then you turn the bolt pointed at in the right picture with the hand drawn arrow (just above the words, "Attaching Bolts") to adjust tension. I can't remember which way tightens and which way loosens the belt...
