Drum brake temperature

So after adjusting my drum brakes I notice that the driver's side drum gets hot. Not burning, just hot. Is this at all normal? The brake pedal feels better than ever. And only one on my drums is adjustable, the other one the star wheel is not functioning. Any thoughts?

Both of my rear drums get hot to the touch under normal driving conditions. You can buy drum brake hardware kits for pretty cheap. If the other wheel isn't adjusting then replace the hardware.

Also a drum to disc brake swap is in my future when it's time for new shoes.

I'm guessing the passenger side won't adjust? Fix the adjuster.....

I suggest he does that first, yes. Might even feel the excitement of having the other side than actually participate in the braking process too.
