Drum Brake Help Please
I just installed new drums, shoes and hardware. I now have what is best described as a drone when I come to a stop. It's not the whole time i'm stopping it's just right at the very end when i'm letting up on the pedal. This noise is only coming from one wheel. I took the drum back off and noticed that it looked like it had got pretty hot at one time and the front shoe seemed to be worn more than the back. I cleaned everything up, put the drum back on and adjusted it till there was just a slight drag. It still does it. I'm pretty sure that I didn't adjust them out enough in the first time cause I didn't do any reading prior. Are my shoes toast on that side since they are uneven now? Any other ideas?

You may need to get the drum resurfaced and replace pads
|
Even though it was a brand new drum and shoes

o sorry, not sure if they were new and the pad burned off that quick i would say they were adjusted too tight or to have a bad cylinder on that wheel?
|
Oh...I should have added that I replaced both wheel cylinders too at this same time. I had one leaking and just replaced them both.

Bump for other thoughts. This sound is horrible.

Give it some time, it will go away in a few days.

So you dont think any adjustments are needed?
