Thanks everyone for the replies. From the above page from the manual it seems like it is normal to leak down to zero psi but retain the gas though. I guess I will start with the fuel injector leak test first and if that passes the test I guess the check valve in the fuel pump isn't working anymore.

Keep in mind that a fuel pump can be intermittent. I just replaced one pulled that trick on me. Out of 8 tests (turn the key on and watch the pressure gauge), 3 or so (going from memory) were just fine. A couple were in the middle, but obviously failing (20 psi or so) and some were dead, dead, dead.

Well its not the injectors. I took them out today and nothing was dripping. So I guess that leaves the pump that is going bad.

Well I finally found a Carter pump for a great deal ($75 compared to $140) and installed it over the weekend and now she starts right up after siting for a couple of hours.
