Default Dropped cap into Xfer case

Hey all... So I changed the fluid in my wjs case. Dark red came out, nice blue mopar transfer case fluid went in. Oh, and one of the little cone caps went in too... About to drive an hour somewhere and back. Is this going to ruin the case?

I would drain the fluid into a clean container to retrieve plastic cap. Keep the fluid clean and can reuse it. If the TC should get gummed up and not function, your jeep will go nowhere.

The 231 does have a pump. I second what Steve said. Ought to get it out of there. Worse case, now is a good time to drop it and put a SYE in.

It's the 247. Full time neutral low. I hate it. So far it runs way smoother than when it had atf in it. I hate when people don't look up what fluids a car is supposed to run. And there's no way the cap would have come out of the drain hole. It's blocked by something. I plan on selling the wj, I'll make sure to drain and filter and refill the case till plastic bits stop coming out in mass.
