driver side windows
2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport
The passenger window hasn't worked in a long time. No sound at all when you press the switch.
The driver's window just started acting up within the last week or so. If the door is open and you raise the window the whole door shakes as the window rises. If the door is closed there is an ugly grinding noise when the window is either all the way down or all the way up.
Any thoughts appreciated.

A friend recommended a 'specialist'. Today we visited his shop. He must have had 100 or so window regulators hanging on the wall. Anyway - he fixed both problems for $80. Hard to beat that. The problem with the passenger window was actually something to do with the master control panel by the driver. The driver's window regulator needed a new cable. A lot cheaper to fix stuff than order parts from the US + shipping.
