Driver Brake Light Problem
Appreciate the help. Rear running lights work, when brake is pressed the driver site does not illuminate, passenger side works. When running lights are on, driver side stays same half illuminated when brake is pressed. I’ve checked fuses. Don’t think it’s a ground problem since running lights work. Any ideas?
Cant drive, don’t want a ticket!! thanks. |
You need to remove the light and check the wiring and see what voltage you are getting to the bulbs and test the ground .

The area behind the spare tire panel contains several electrical connectors, one of which is for the tail light assembly. Those wires are 20 gauge and just a little bit of corrosion can cause good connections to be lost. Just a tiny bit of rust in the wheelwell can allow water to do it's thing.
