Default Drive plate spacer..?

So I just pulled my motor to fix a coolant leak on the back of the block, I got the motor back in, hooked everything up and it's running now, but when I looked in the mess of my garage I found a spacer that goes on the drive plate. I was wondering how vital this part was? after pulling the motor once, I don't want to do it again anytime soon. I was also wondering if I could get it back on if I were to drop the tranny, that seems easier, but I don't know if its possible? Any help would be great!! It's a 93 4.0 with an auto tranny

are you talking about a thin almost sheet metal plate that might go between the engine and trans?

Yeah it's a ring thin ring type thing, I remember taking it off but that was after I found it on the ground. I guess I'll be pulling my motor to put it back on. I don't suppose anyone knows of an easier way than that..?

that looks like the load spacer on the flexplate, it's an auto correct? Pulling the trans is faster....
