I just ordered a new Drive chain for my NP242 transfer case. I've done the tests, and determined that the chain is lose as hell jaja.

Anyone have any advice to help me in the journey ahead? I never taken apart a TC before, but I've read two guides on drive chain replacement (for different years, and w/ SYE). Any guides or hints are welcome, pictures with a TC apart are specially welcome!

And which RTV and fluid do you guys think I should use? I've gotten mixed results from searches.

look at my tread. i have a lot of pictures on my 242 transfer case split. hope it helps. get a pair of lock ring pliers ... not snap ring pliers
