Default drain **** plug

Decided to take it out to empty the rad quicker. It doesn't want to fit back in??
Searched NAPA, Autozone, and Advance auto and can't find a replacement, only the screw in type "petcock."

The closest thing I found was in the store at NAPA, the drain plug was a tad bit shorter but otherwise looked identical; they said it was for a grand cherokee 4L.

It might fit. Did you break the original plug? cause if you didn't, you just have to push real hard why twisting to get it in, POP then twist. The Grand CH plug might be too short and won't be any easier to get into the hole. Next time remove the lower hose, this is the fastest and most complete way to drain the coolant, also.

ok so its safe to twist while pushing in hard. nothing looks broken. but the plastic "threads" inside the hole are just two notches that this plug catches onto. pretty flimsy, huh.

can i lubricate the plug o-ring with to assist with install?

Got it back in safely with a little force. Hope this helps someone. I sure as hell will never take that out again.
