So my drivers side rear door wont open? Its stuck in the lock posistion and i seems as if no force in the world will get it back into the unlock position.

It all started when i opened the door and when i shut it, the door wouldnt latch, thus bounchin off the door jam. Tryied messing with the hinge and nothing. So i pushed it shut and locked it with my remote. Now its stuck there. Is there some way i can unlatch the locking mechanism if i take apart the door from the inside?

if you pull the door panel off you can manually open the door from the latch itself. just went through that same prob with my wifes XJ.

You'll have to go for the door panel, which is a major PITA with the door shut.

I would try wiggling the door while hitting the unlock switch. You could have just lock stuck from pressure on the door. I would sit inside and pull up on the armrest on the door see if you can jar it loose. Maybe push the door back and forth if there is any play while hitting the door lock switch. I doubt the lock itself is broken.
