Door Pockets

The 97-01 limiteds came with door pockets but the rest of us did not. Has anybody made any that they would like to share?

A little extra inside storage would be nice.

I tried researching that myself. Roamed the boneyard looking at cars to maybe try and steal them from. Never really came up with any ideas. I ended up getting some Limited door panels though. If you do find some to use put them on with double sided tape and use the good 3M VHB tape.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I was talking about the 97-01 models.

What color is your interior? Because if you find some Limited door panels you will want them to be from a '97 or '98. While any '97 to '01 will fit the color will not be right.

Good point, my interior is gray.

The gray in a '97 and '98 is referred to as Mist Gray. In '99 to '01 it is Agate. Plus I want to say having looked at many pictures on the internet that in '97 and '98 they had ones with leather/pleather whatever it is inserts, the part where the wood grain is and cloth ones too.
First link is IMO only for '97 and '98 despite what the description says.

Then the one with the cloth. Which IMO is also '97 and '98 despite what the description says.

Scroll down in Post # 1 to see the color of '99 and up.

Now here is something that confuses me. The ad says from a '98. But notice how the door panel itself is lighter, to me Mist Gray, but the inset where the door handle is located is darker like a Agate like in the picture at the link above.

Obviously I have spent a lot of time looking at interiors of XJ's. LOL.

Those panels are Mist Gray. The pads are Agate. My 97 has those same panels. Interior color code C3.

Wow, you guys really know you Jeep interiors.

What I was looking for was some way to add door pockets not necessarily replace the door panels. The ask on the door panels from limiteds is more than I want to spend on this.

Solution to door pockets, my first post.

I made these this winter....
These are from a 1992 Ford Festiva... (2 sets)
Cut to length and plastic welded them together...
I had them line-xed for strength and felt lined them.
Hope this gives you some ideas....
