Default door is messed up. help

Quick question. The other day my door latch go turned around and now my door wont close. Its the part where the l= looking piece in the door clicks into the post on the body. Do I gotta take the door apart to fix this or is there a quick fix? I cant drive around with my door stuck open. Thanks guys

Use a screwdriver and pull it back into place while pressing the doorknob button. This happened to me a few times also and that's what fixed it. Then spray it with some WD-40 so it doesn't happen again...Tj

^ exactly. should be an easy fix, it happens to my passenger door all the time for some reason. just press in the door **** button as said and you should be able to simply spin it back to where it should be with your fingers. if i remember right you have to twist up with it counter clockwise

I've had the same issue so took the part out of the door which isn't too hard and cleaned it up a lot and so far it hasn't happened since i did it last winter.
