Door lock problems
I have a 2000 Cherokee, and this summer I had to remove the dashboard in order to replace my AC evaporator. When I put it all together, my door locks got messed up. The doors unlock fine from both driver and passenger switches, but when I try to lock them from either door, I get a delay. Sometimes this delay will only be a second or two, and other times I have to stand there for a whole minute before the doors decide to lock. When they finally do lock they all lock at once. Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks!

Im going out on a limb here, but I think the grounding for the door locks is faulty. Bad or poor grounding is known for causing logic defying problems in xj's. I had a turn signal problem that had me baffled untill I regrounded the system. Reground all the components of the system and see if it works.
