Door jamb wires
 

Yes I searched and didnt find what I wanted

Anyone have a clue or wiring diagram of what each wire is for in door jambs I plan to solder a wiring male and female connections so I can quickly remove and put doors back on so I can drive with tube doors when I want but curious what unplugging all them wires will stop like I want to still have tail lights turn signals for example but when I wanna put doors back on still use power windows thanks!!!

All you're going to lose is windows and door locks. Power mirrors if you've got them. I don't think XJs have power mirrors anyway.

I think all '97 and up XJ's have power mirrors. Even the ones that don't have power windows or door locks.

You don't say what year so.......
In '97 and up XJ's each door has its own harness. I don't see how unplugging them could effect anything you would care about.
Now hooking them up and disconnecting them quickly is a different matter as they are now.
Finding the FSM for your model year will have wiring diagrams that will help you see what is what.

sorry about that it's a 2000 almost all of them are same anyway. It just seemed like there were alot more wires than just windows speaker and mirrors? Plus is there a place I can already conveniently unplug these like the kick panel so.i dont need to cut them and solder my own connectors?

Best of my knowledge 2 connectors for the front door controls, 1 for the window regulator, 1 for the actuator,
1 for the power/heated mirror connector, 1 speaker connector, and 1 for the Infinity Tweeter even if your Jeep does not have them.
Back door thinking 1 for the window switch, 1 for the window regulator, and 1 for the actuator.
Oh and of course one for the harness itself on each one.
Well they unplug where the rubber boot going to each door is.
What I don't know is where the connector is.
I doubt the connector is in the rubber boot.
For the front doors probably under the kick panel in each footwell.
For the rear doors probably in the pillar.
So I guess if I was trying to figure this out I would separate the rubber boot from the body/pillar.
See if there is enough wire to pull it out enough to disconnect right there.
My guess is there is not.
Even if there is still can't see it being quick and easy.

The only way I can see it being quick and easy is if you install Canon Plugs like used in aircraft or electronics. I don't think there is enough room for the cable plug between the doors.

that's what I was thinking I have
about a thousand in my basment anyway cause I'm in college for aircraft mechanic but I found out that all the wires are only for doors and speakers other than that just the dome light stays on so you have to tape down button or something plus it disconnects quickly in the kick panel

Did not even think about that. LOL.

Guys run doorless, half doors, and tube doors all the time.
My impression is for long periods of time though.
So going through all the trouble to disconnect and take them off is not so bad.
Gotta figure something can be worked out though.
