Door handles

Has anyone switched their door handles? I currently have a '97 Cherokee Country with the thumb button door openers. I am having thumb joint problems that make it hard to push the button. I'm curious about swapping the handles for the pull style I've seen on Grand Cherokees or changing the spring behind the buttons that I currently have. Any thoughts? Thanks

I never thought much of our push buttons either... so i was thinking with a little fab.. you could drill a whole in the corner of the handle closest to the button, take the button out, then mount a small lever on the inside making a hinge point where you drilled your hole putting a small pin for the handle to articulate on. Then make some linkage to push whatever is behind the button and BOOM now you can just pull the lever.. a friends 91 volvo 940se has this.
