door handle/hood latch problem

Default door handle/hood latch problem

hey guys my door handles are hard to open from the outside i believe there just gummed up how do i clean em any suggestions also when u pull the hood latch u have to ****** on it pretty hard to get it to release

Not sure about your door handles, but go easy on the hood latch handle...

The coupler that connects the pull cable to the... Um... Bars (technical term?)... That open the hood latches is what gets grimed up. Get some general automotive grease, and be really liberal with it in and around that coupler - doesn't hurt to do the same thing at the actual latches, too. Give the handle a few pulls with the hood up to get the grease worked in there, then shut it and give it a go.

If you leave it the way it is, you're likely to yank the cable out of the coupler - it has happened before.
