dome lights wont turn off... searched everywhere
Ok so today i installed a new amp for my subs, and the battery wire accidentally grounded out. no big deal replace the fuse in the sub power line and call it good. Well after that my dome lights wont turn off. its a 94 sport, and ive checked the door switches, the headlight switch (no its not in the on position), ive even followed the line all the way back to the wiring harness in the dash and i havent seen any sign of improper grounding. help please, i have to drive across state sunday!

If you shorted out the battery you could have fried the BCM for the remote locks & courtesy lamps, among other things, but thats the first thing I would check. Does the engine still start/run/etc, did it take the alternator with it?

The door pin actuators complete a ground circuit to the dome, are you sure you didn't melt the plastic separator inside the switch (passenger or driver's side) when you shorted your battery? Did you actually pull the triggers out and inspect them? You could always pull the bulbs until you figure it out.
