Default Does a Cold Air Intake work enough to notice?

Well guys my birthday is coming up and I was thinking about getting a Cold Air Intake like get a K&N or make a very close replica, but is it even worth getting? I mean if its not gonna make a big enough difference to notice i dont wanna get it. (will be getting a 4.0 throttle body though, I know that will help )

I've used CAIs with proper tunes on cars with big V8s and turbo'd vehicles and never noticed a difference. These CAI/Tune combinations made upwards of nearly 30 HP to the wheels. The only way you can tell is on a dyno or at the strip. People that claim big "seat of pants" differences due to a CAI are excited about their purchase and wanting to share.

I had one that came with my jeep. When that one became a parts jeep i switched over the cai and really didn't notice a difference.

No, Cowl/Snorkel are the only "true" CAI's for cherokees and gains are even limited with them.

My broken record sounds like this....

"K&N's are junk"
"K&N's are junk"

A silencer quiets down the sounds of the engine pulling in air. I LOVE the sound of my engine pulling in air. Look at the size of the stock air tube. It's tiny. Even with the ridges it still flows very well because of how short it is.

Now I have a cai on mine and like it. It did help a little to almost none at all. But it opened up space on that side and moved up the air intake so that it's up a little higher above water.... which doesn't matter if you are in it up to your headlights.... hope this helps with your choice.
