Do all 86 xj's have 1 piece Rear Main Seals?

Do all 86 xj's have 1 piece Rear Main Seals?
Cherokee 2.8 liter base two door. I'm getting conflicting information here. Haynes indicates "check for an oval casting on the left of the block. Auto Zone indicates all 86's are 11mm 1 piece. Any thoughts?

Everything I've come across says 85 and later models have the one piece seal, and you should be able to perform the replacement with the oil pan in place.
However, word is you will need a special tool to seat the seal... never done it myself, so can't say for sure about that.
Let me know how it goes, because I have no doubt my 85 will need this work done eventually.

Thanks for the response
Haynes says look for the oval cast.... but I agree that the transmission must be removed. Too bad since I have the pan off right now. I'll let you know what happens.
