OK,
Lets go at it this way. If I where to pull my distributor out slightly, and turn it 2 or three teeth, would that advance/retard timing? |
Why are you messing with the distributor?
was it pulled and set wrong? |

we pulled it when we rebuilt the engine.
We did bust the Knock Sensor, and Im replacing that today, but I just wanted to have a back up plan if that does not take care of the slight timing issue. It starts up fine, and runs, but the timing seems tobe just slightly out. |
the dist is back in and set to no one cyl on compression stroke right

Yes, its back in and set to #1, but seems slightly off. Can I advance/retard by resetting on a different tooth?
